A Bit About Me
My life and work are deeply intertwined, shaped by movement, change, and an ever-evolving sense of self. Trained in design and having worked with global fashion brands, my path eventually slowed and softened when I found clay—a material that resists control and talks back asking for presence. Working from a farm-based studio, surrounded by soil, seasons, and daily life, my practice shifts with my moods, experiences, and conversations. I believe nothing is constant, and my work reflects that belief—objects that balance function with feeling, imperfection with intention. Each piece is made to be lived with, becoming part of everyday rituals and real homes, carrying the quiet coherence of a life in motion.
Work Experience

January 2017 - Present
I completed my internship at Allure Fashions, a footwear export house in Chennai, where I worked on design development for international brands including Bally, Barker, Lloyd, Högl, Georges, Barratts, and Hush Puppies. This early experience introduced me to craftsmanship, material detailing, and the discipline required to design for global markets.
During my years at A.V. Thomas in Chennai, I worked within the exports industry designing leather goods for international brands, gaining firsthand experience of large-scale production, precision, and global quality standards. That period shaped my understanding of materials, functionality, and discipline, while also revealing the contrast between fast-moving commercial design and the slower, more personal practice I would later seek.
Through my own brand, Dhruva Handbags, I explored leather as both material and language, designing functional pieces that balanced structure with individuality. This phase allowed me to translate my design sensibility into a personal brand—experimenting with form, surface, and utility while understanding the realities of running a design-led business, from concept to production. The work deepened my interest in objects that are meant to be used daily and age beautifully with time.
Studio Wildflower grew out of a desire to slow down and create more honestly, allowing life and work to inform each other. What began as an intuitive exploration of clay has evolved into a studio practice rooted in everyday rituals, where function meets feeling and imperfection is welcomed. Today, Studio Wildflower continues to shift and grow—shaped by changing moods, seasons, and stories—creating objects meant to be used, lived with, and quietly cherished in real homes.
